PROCESS
Specification
- Initial discussion about design intent, explanation of program standards, light levels, fixture types, warranty, etc. Architect should relay any special owner requests or lighting variances from the CDID.
- Architect or engineer shall provide information concerning local ordinances or codes that pertain to lighting and will be addressed by the design team to assure the project meets requirements prior to the permitting process.
- Architect provides a developed RCP and Site Plan to our design team in CAD format. The lighting package is verified with correct fixture types, wattages, optics, etc. The layout is photometrically calculated and checked for light levels and uniformity in critical areas. If deficiencies are recognized the design team will notify the architect and work to resolve.
- The final lighting plan and schedule will be delivered in PDF & CAD format and shall meet the prototypical design intent consisting of program approved lighting fixtures.
- Architect or consulting engineer shall be responsible for the emergency lighting layout and final verification of egress lighting as well as circuiting, energy calculations, controls system design, and code compliance.
Budgeting
- Once initial lighting plans are complete the Lighting Precision team can provide budget pricing for evaluation.
- As the project moves to the bidding phase our team will assist all bidding general contractors & sub contractors to obtain a material quote in a timely manner prior to bid day.
